Meet Our Design Team
Each of the Broadway Kitchens & Baths showrooms has a well-seasoned staff of design professionals to help you with your kitchen and/or bathroom. Bring in your plans and talk with our designers about what it is you are trying to accomplish. Our kitchen and bath designs range from sleek modern/contemporary, traditional charm, and transitional classics to a collection of other styles. If you wish, we do offer an in-home design service for a fee.
Al started designing kitchens in 1990 and became interested in bathroom design about 4 years later. He has been selling both kitchen and bathroom renovations at Broadway Kitchens & Baths since April 1999.
Al enjoys meeting with clients and working out design situations with them.
Since the kitchen bath business is forever changing with new trends and products it never gets old. Al spends his free time fishing, reading and exercising. He also enjoys watching all types of sports.
Charles has been working in the kitchen cabinet industry with Broadway Kitchens & Baths for the past 14 years, working closely with developers, construction companies, architects and general contractors to oversee large-scale, multi-family construction projects from design and development through the final inspections. He helps to maintain the company’s relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, builders, management companies, architects, and executives from large construction management firms who serve the building industry. Charles has a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, execution and acquisition of products associated with the cabinet business in both union and non-union environments. He brings a high level of enthusiasm and energy to everything he does. He is blessed to be a father of two beautiful girls and is an avid scuba diver.
Charmaine Fraser is the Bookkeeper and Purchasing/Receiving Agent for Broadway Kitchens & Baths. She has been with BKB for almost 10 years and enjoys problem-solving and working with everyone. Her favorite hobbies include reading, listening to music and nurturing anyone who is in need.
Curtis recently joined Broadway Kitchens & Baths. He specializes in custom kitchen and bath design, with extensive background in design and renovation.His goal is to create every kitchen as a special art piece of its own with character and creating a design that his clients can fully enjoy for many years.
Fran joined Broadway Kitchens & Baths in December 2000 and has enjoyed the challenge of working with New York City’s varied clientele ever since. Before coming to BKB she spent 10 years as an Art teacher, almost 20 years as a designer for a high-end custom cabinetry maker and a year-and-a-half with Poliform. Throughout her career she has also continued her own artistic endeavors.
Lori started working at Broadway Kitchens and Baths in 2015 after pursuing a career in family counseling. She is currently completing Parson’s New School -Interior Design and Architecture Certificate Program while actively designing for BKB. Lori also assists in various administrative and logistical tasks for the NY showroom and generally does whatever needs to be done. She enjoys the process of learning the client’s particular needs and working to produce the best possible solution while creating an aesthetically beautiful result as well.
On a personal level, Lori enjoys good food, baking, reading, traveling, spending time with friends and getting her hands dirty working on her own various ‘fix-it’ projects.
Melanie joined Broadway Kitchens & Bath in 2014 as our Operations Assistant. She grew into a full time designer role with us here at BKB in 2016. Prior to working at Broadway Kitchens, Melanie has worked in the home design and construction industry for over 15 years. Melanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC Charlotte.
Appreciative of and keen to architecture, design, and art, Melanie blends her knowledge of all areas into designs and focuses on bringing creative solutions to her clients. Her passion for intentional design with beauty and hearing clients’ needs brings her excitement day to day as a designer.
Melanie lives in NJ and has her own pottery studio where she creates ceramic sculptures. In her free time, Melanie enjoys gardening, drawing, and hiking.
Ralph has been involved in the kitchen and bath industry for over 40 years. Prior to working for Broadway Kitchens & Baths, where he has been for over 10 years, he designed and manufactured custom kitchens for 20 years as an owner of his own business. Presently his career path in sales and design at BKB’s has given him the opportunity to share his talents in creating his customer’s dream kitchens and bathrooms.
With over 20 years’ experience in the home building industry, Shane has intricate knowledge of the home renovation process from foundation to roofing. A carpenter by trade, Shane crafted his skills within the rich tradition of the Amish tradesmen in the heartland of Ohio. After acquiring the experience of complete home construction and remodeling at Otto Construction, he owned and operated Hostetler Kitchens and Bath in Uniontown, Ohio. Shane’s brings to Broadway his charm of old world craftsmanship with a modern design aesthetic to compliment your unique vision. “I believe in listening to the owners’ expectations; managing those expectations and delivering with trust and confidence.”
Shy has a career spanning well over 2 decades, a BA from Fashion Institute of Technology in Textile/Surface Design, and Certification from New York institute of Art and Design. Her diverse talents have earned her much recognition and numerous rewards throughout the years, Shy specializes in her passion-residential interiors and had earned a reputation for having an exceptional eye for design and outstanding personal service - marrying her ample knowledge of interior design with the world of kitchen & bath renovation and remodeling. She has unriveted enthusiasm and patience to make your aesthetic dreams come true! Her design skills range from clean contemporary to classic Traditional. Shy possess the ability to create highly unique and individual masterpieces while meeting functional needs that align with clients vision. She knows how to create the perfect product while containing costs and heightening efficiency!
On a personal note, Shy lives in New York City with her 2 daughters. She enjoys painting, international travel, and cooking exotic foods.
